Data & Process Harmonization

Create a Single Instance of Truth

Process Harmonization Large companies with multiple locations face the problem “to what extent to standardize processes” and “how much variety to allow”. Process harmonization aims to find the right balance, leading to efficient and effective business
processes.

The benefits of business processes harmonization are very clear, they range from improving the efficiency, decreasing operating costs, increasing internal control, to facilitating the interoperability between different companies with a uniform user of IT systems.

 Where can we help?

  • Determine variants of a number of business processes that exists in the organizations
  • Identify factors that cause differences between these variants
  • Establish metrics for measuring the level of harmonization
  • Determine the correlation
  • Derive a single source of truth across the disparate existing processes
  • Document harmonized processes very well

Data harmonization begins with matching new source records to an existing master record. Unmatched records can be “promoted” to establish a new master record.  Sometimes the biggest challenge is establishing that initial set of master records from a collection of duplicates within the same source. After matching to a master record, harmonization involves applying a set of business rules to establish master record attributes by resolving any conflicting or overlapping values from supporting source systems.

Data harmonization is the classic use case for MDM and refers to the process of combining multiple data sources into an integrated, unambiguous entity “golden copy” record that can be used by consuming systems to feed a business process.

How can we Help?

Our ‘Data Inspector’ will profile data from all data sources and created a “trusted information zone” framework to measure data quality across the various sources for customer and product data.

  • Will build a dynamic data engine leveraging the Client’s existing toolsets, as well as industry best practices, to harmonize the data from all data sources
  • Establish a data governance process for validating new data sources and incorporate them into the data harmonization model

Benefits that are achieved

  • Improvement in the Master Data Quality
  • Ensures Single truth of the master data across all the business landscape
  • Client Specific control on the Master Data
  • Automatic De-duplication and Distribution of the Master data
